Eirepreneur is invigorated!

Monday, February 22nd, 2010

James Corbett is “Eirepreneur”. He runs several very readable blogs regarding entrepreneurship and co-working and I’ve always found reading them to be an absolute pleasure. It’s therefore doubly nice to see something about us in the pages. Apparently, we Smell Like Startup Spirit:

There’s such a strong sense of community around the VI project in Belfast right now that I can only see it succeeding. I know it’s very early days, the proof of the pie is in the eating, yada yada ya, but forgive me for getting caught up in the whirlwind of energy surrounding this initiative – I find it invigorating.

Thanks, James!

The VI Paint Party

Sunday, February 21st, 2010

We met at 10 am and we finished up pretty much eleven hours later. A heap of strangers brought together to change things, to make something new and exciting in Northern Ireland.

Thanks to Tim Brundle, Andrea Clements, David Crozier, Jonathan Cusick, Richard Dale, Nick Fitzsimons, Leo Galway, Martin Gilchrist, Scott Kennedy from CFR, Patrick Lismore, Liam McGarry, Paul McKibbin, Chris McClelland, Colin Mitchell, and Lyra McKee.

(If I missed you out, message me, I’m still putting together a list here. And if you want your name linked to a web site, also message me.)

Follow us on Twitter

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010

Follow the VI virtual incubator on Twitter. Why? Well, we’ll tweet when we have new content, new sponsors and new mentors. Twitter is the preferred communications medium for the types of people we’re talking to.

You’ll also see who we’re following – people intimately involved in the startup community in Northern Ireland – whether that’s new startups, experienced entrepreneurs, seasoned mentors or even just ‘entrevoyeurs’ – these are all people who contribute in some way.

And…we’re off…

Friday, February 5th, 2010

Today we told the Landlord that we’ll take on the lease and begin the journey of “VI” the Virtual Incubator. We’ve a lot to do, a lot of content to create, contacts to make and promises and pledges to collect.

Wish us luck!
