Captain Bligh (Mutiny on the Bounty) and his men lived on a biscuit a day and tea-spoon of water during their voyage. During which he undertook cartography, and his maps were subsequently used by the Royal Navy for the next 100 years. Bligh was underated, intelligent, brave, skilled, supported by his men and went on to have a very successful naval career. He travelled all over the world (including visiting USA - well Alaska and Hawaii) although he eventually lost out to a rum rebellion in Australia.

Hopefully there are many similarities for Start VI participants, especially in terms of rags to riches, being underrated yet with a colourful future and long lasting legacy ahead. Just be careful of drunken ozzies! Good Luck
